Information Technology
One of the purposes of the Information Technology (IT) committee in Mexico City is to influence better use of technologies, in order to reduce time and effort in business strategies. The implementation of e-Commerce is an important factor in adding value to the market. The group also focuses on the “Digital Agenda” which is a starting point in the technological development of Mexico. This program acts as a support in areas such as: security, trade, government, education, health and telecommunications.
The committee also offers technical assistance and training in the use of new technological tools. One of the principal challenges of the committee is to change the vision that in general in Mexico technology is viewed as an expense, not as an investment.
